Who I work with

Founder-led businesses that have become too complex to run on instinct alone.

My deepest experience is in hospitality: fast-moving, people-heavy businesses with tight margins, demanding customers and very little room for operational theatre. I also work well with adjacent founder-led organisations facing the same growing pains.

  1. 01

    Independent hospitality groups

Multi-site structure, management development, operational consistency, people practices and the systems needed to grow without the founder becoming head office, helpdesk and emergency contact.

  2. 02

    Restaurants, bars, cafés and pubs

Practical operational improvement, team structure, labour planning, standards, compliance and commercial decisions that work during service – not only in a meeting room.

  3. 03

    Venues, events and guest-facing businesses

Bringing together teams, contractors, suppliers, guest experience and deadlines in environments where the show must go on, even if the Wi-Fi does not.

  4. 04

    New concepts and openings

From keys to opening night: plans, suppliers, systems, recruitment, onboarding, training, risk, compliance and the final operational readiness that turns a concept into a functioning business.

  5. 05

    Founder-led SMEs beyond hospitality

Growing businesses where people, service and operations are tightly connected – and where the founder needs an experienced generalist who can see across departments and get things moving.

The working relationship

A good working relationship matters

I work best with founders who care about their people and customers, are open to an honest conversation and genuinely want the business to become less dependent on them.

You do not need to have all the answers. You do need to be willing to look at what is really happening – including the bits that are not especially convenient.
